Recommend Physics

SDSU-IVC: Transitions to higher math, Math History, Probability, Curriculum and instruction, Foundations of Geometry, Abstract Algebra and Advanced Calculus and one electives selected with approval of Dr. Verzi verzi@math.sdsu.edu

BA in Math

IVC: Calculus 1, 2, 3; Linear Algebra, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, Programming in Java, Mathlab workshop. Strongly recommend Physics

SDSU-IVC: Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra, Advanced Calculus, and a 2 semester sequence and electives for a total of 27 U.D. math units to be selected with approval of Dr. Lesley in San Diego.

Jobs: Without question, this program prepares you for challenging and interesting positions in business, industry and government, or go on to graduate school in many fields.

Liberal Studies with Math Specialization

IVC-Math Precalculus and 1 course from Business Calculus or Calculus 1.
SDSU-IVC 3 Math 413 or 414 and 2 courses from 302, 303,336 or 509.

This program will increase your confidence to teach math in grades 4-8, and begin preparation to become a math specialist or junior high school teacher.
