Students, faculty and staff may order journal articles from the San Diego Campus Library free of charge by using the InterLibrary Loan (ILL) option “ILL Request Service.” In order to use this service the article must not be located in any form (print, online, microfilm, microfiche) at the IV Campus Library.
Click Borrowing, then select InterLibrary Loan. In the lower middle of the page select “ILL Request Service” under Journal Articles. Complete the boxes in “First Time Users.” Once you have logged in, select “Journal Article Request” in the upper left. Using your article’s citation information, complete the boxes in Journal Article Request and click Submit.
The service takes 7-14 days. After a few days log back into ILL Request Service and select “Electronically Received Articles.” If your article has arrived you may print it in PDF format. If the San Diego Campus Library has the article in digital form, they will post it in Electronically Received Articles, otherwise they will photocopy the article and mail it to your home address.
